I love these Atmos enabled speakers because they have great Klipsch Reference Premiere sound, look and can work as updraft or full range speakers. My only concern is value, and here's why. Klipsch knows there's little competition in the Atmos-enabled tweeter space, and fitting bookshelf speakers as front tweeters feels a bit odd. At the NFM store I was able to get an RP-8000f for $340 each, an RP-504c for $400 each and 2 sets of RP-500M for $250 each for my back and surround back treble. I paid $500 for a pair at the Revain and NFM store, they were $275 each so compared to them it's a LOT more money compared to the size and performance of other speakers. The RP500M is the best full-range speaker for $250/pair (NFM) versus $500/pair for these RP-500SAs. I have a vaulted ceiling, so forcing the atmosphere is not an option. I have this RP-500SA as front treble and RP500M as rear treble. The RP-500SA has a few things compared to the RP-500M that made me bite the bullet and get it. 1) If I ever move and have this option there is an air lift option and they fit and look great on my RP-8000f. 2) They have a full range (surround) switch which allows them to be installed as height speakers and they look much better as front tilt height speakers than the RP-500M installed. 3) I've compared them to Sony SS-CSE Atmos speakers and would recommend them instead, but Sony is currently $100 and these are $500. these are 5 times better. no Do they fit my Klipsch setup and do they sound better? Yes, that's why I decided to buy them. I put them 4-5 dB above the front speakers so the high channels are clearly audible and not drowned out by the front speakers. I think the smaller and less powerful RP-140SAs (which I haven't tested) will quickly roll off at high levels. If you want ambience in a Klipsh setup then this is basically the way to go and you won't be disappointed but it lacks value for money compared to my other Klipsch speakers in my opinion.
