I used to be able to find waffle foam rug pads that actually provided cushion. That was from Home Depot or Lowe's. Not anymore. it's more of a skid pad.I returned an 8x10 and a 5x7 and researched RugPadUSA. POSITIVE REVIEWS. HAPPY CUSTOMERS. REAL reviews!Yes. the 1/4 thick pads do the job. Springy, cushy.No. Not supposed to be and my rugs are very low pile/weave. They are cut EXACTLY to size and I wish they weren't. I don't want to see the edge of the pad. It should disappear leaving about 1/2" to 3/4 " shorter all around so rug stays flush with floor. With a sharp box utility knife, I did my own trimming. STILL, love 'em. GREAT VALUE from a PROUD "Made in America" company. How nice it is to get a package from ebay that doesn't say Made in China!
