I have several massage guns and this is the first one that just won't turn on. There were no turn on instructions, but I flipped the power switch to both positions, pressed the power button, pressed the speed buttons and...nothing. When I started writing this review I realized that you might need to hold down the power button for a few seconds, but I can't verify this (see below). Maybe I'm an idiot for not thinking about it sooner, but I still think there should be a hint _somewhere_ on the machine or in the instructions if you have to do something out of the ordinary to turn it on. Every other massage gun I have turns on and off instantly when I hit the power button. By the way, I know that the screen on the back worked because it lit up when I plugged in the power adapter. It just never worked unless it was plugged in. I also couldn't turn it on when plugged in. Since it wouldn't turn on, I decided to take it apart. The little circuit board behind the display wasn't anything special (and maybe that's why it didn't turn on), but everything else was really well done and engineered. The connectors attached to the circuit board were coated in adhesive to hold them in place (I don't usually see that), the plastic body and internals were smooth and strong, and the motor and metal connections holding the massage head back and forth move. were of high quality. The battery was well made with six cells, but nothing special in my opinion. I was very impressed with the quality of the metalwork, especially considering the manufacturer could reasonably assume very few customers would ever see it. The quality of the mechanical parts, it hurts me to give two stars but it just didn't turn on. Whether it was because it was defective or because it didn't have the necessary instructions for idiots like me, the result was the same.
