I bought this little robot for a small apartment with faux wood floors. It works MIRACLES, especially on cat hair and normal crumbs. Gets perfectly into small corners and flawlessly under things. It hums so you'll have to turn the music up loud in a small room, but it's not deafening. I will say that he doesn't suck, he just sweeps - and that's what I needed! My cat doesn't ride it, but she's not afraid of it at all. He dislikes knitted rugs and will stop if he touches a thick rug. - but I believe it will do well on thin mats with a rubber underlay/slope. I'm curious if you put a wet mop under it, if it can wipe I'll post when I experiment! For the price it's out of the box! I would not recommend it for carpets or for the whole house. I just wish there was an equivalent robot for a similar price that did the cleaning/mopping!
