I was a bit hesitant about this purchase as this DR620 drum cartridge is 1/5 the cost of the original part for my 9 year old Brother MFC-8680DN. I had lines along the edge of my printed copies that the cleaning procedure failed to fix. It looks like I had 53,000 pages on the original drum, and according to the manufacturer, 25,000 pages is normal for a drum! In any case, the new "compatible" part will be installed according to the procedure described in the user manual. The print quality seems satisfactory to me without a direct comparison test with an OEM drum. I'm using an OEM toner cartridge and that seems to make a difference. Never had any luck refilling toner or compatible toner cartridges. They often start off well, but the quality of the text suffers. Bad toner can make it seem like a good drum is bad.
