Had a scratching post that snapped and the cord partially came loose. I'm debating whether to just replace the twine or buy a new stand. This jute rope was an absolute steal for what you got for the price. What I like about this rope is that it was softer than the original that was on the pole so I'm hoping it wears better than the other one which was more straw like. For a 5 month old kitten it was really amazing to just destroy it but then I realized how crappy the jute twine was for this. However, I hope that this one lasts longer and wears better. It was also easy enough to use, although the rope started twisting as I wrapped it as the rope twisted and created a twist/twist in it. I suspect this can be prevented by cutting it to the correct length, but I had no idea what I needed so I did. how is it. Just in case, I rubbed catnip on a freshly coiled pole, and my cats rode it into town with no problem. I hope this jute rope lasts longer than the one that replaced it!
