The Norpro bread slicer with crumb catcher was rated 3 stars because the bread slicer was poorly designed. Luckily my husband was home when the slicer arrived and he ended up assembling the slicer. I had problems because the bread slicer didn't come with assembly instructions. In addition, there was poor alignment of the pilot holes. The man had to align everything and carefully screw the screws into the pilot holes. The slicer works quite well. You can choose between a slightly thin slice or a very thick slice. Using an electric knife helped slice the bread. I would recommend getting an electric knife to make cutting easier. Our slicer arrived with "Our Daily Bread" printed on the plastic nozzle. Recommended with caution.
