There are many sound options. Got this in hopes of neutralizing my roommates' snoring, but the volume is way too low for my use case. Weirdly, when I'm using a Bluetooth connection and playing white noise from my phone, the volume can get a lot louder. The sound of the Bluetooth speaker is quite good with decent bass. The night light is decent too, with about 5 levels of adjustment, and I like that the lowest setting is very dim. In general, if you plan to use it as a standalone white noise generator, I wouldn't recommend using it in a high-noise area. Better to use in a quiet place. But if you get this as a portable Bluetooth speaker for the home with an option for ambient sound and lighting, then you're all set.
