This is a cute little adapter that eliminates the sheer absurdity of having only one power connector on a MacBook (yes, it fits my early 2016 12" MacBook). Now I can connect my laptop, external backup drive, phone, and another device for about 1/3 the cost of an Apple adapter, which only allows me to do ONE of those things at a time. The adapter does not get hot or overloaded - it works as intended. 1-1/2 inches but thin and light.
