This mount from aps2car.com places the GPS in a better position than the original Garmin windshield mount. It sits closer to my eyes, sitting in the sweet spot of my zoom goggles and cutting out background glare. It's much easier to view the GPS screen on a darker dashboard. It vibrates when driving over rough roads, but I still prefer this mount to the original for the reasons stated. The roads in Wisconsin are terrible and my MINI Cooper has stiff suspension. It looks like the quality is the same as Garmin. This is perfect for the CD slot in my 2007 MINI Cooper. However, I had to replace the original mount button with a hex buckle (Home Depot) because the button did not go past the line above the mount. See photos. The CD slot in my 2003 Ford Taurus is larger. The mount comes with multiple adhesive tabs to adapt to a larger slot. I suspect this shouldn't be a problem if your car is relatively new.
