This compressor has worked perfectly for just over a month. After that it blocked and did nothing. I replaced all air conditioning components except for the evaporator and flushed the system. Thus, there was no chance of metal or other debris entering the system. I followed the installation instructions that came with the compressor for the T and used a good set of A/C gauges and a vacuum pump to dry out and refill the system. Not my first rodeo. I just didn't realize that for a warranty replacement you need a professional shop with receipts to verify the installation. Guilty. unfortunately. Since the guarantee route was not possible, I decided to open the compressor. One of the roller bearings was cracked and bent, and small roller balls got into the rest of my system. oh joy Now this cheap compressor has probably made me replace my condenser AGAIN and also flush the system AGAIN and go through all the headaches. You get what you pay for. Don't skimp and expect an easy warranty process unless you've paid a mechanic to do all the work and verify the information. I also contacted the manufacturer (UAC) and they declined any warranty option as I didn't buy it directly from them. No wonder.
