I wasn't impressed at all with this '5 star' Blistex lip protector. stay on my lips for a very short time and then it's gone. There was no moisture, it just stayed on my lips until I used a tissue or went outside in the heat, after which I had to reapply it immediately. As for the sun blocking, I'd say it probably happens while it's on, but don't count on it lasting long, reapply often or try something else.
