My first batch had a defective marker; the red sounded and seemed empty and did not fill completely. The lettering was mottled and not as hard and opaque as the other colors. I emailed the company right after the email to proceed and was offered a prorated refund as they don't have individual markers available to ship as replacements. I would have preferred to have the full set so I went here to start the return process. Luckily my second order was a few bucks cheaper (funny how prices fluctuate so much here at Revain). After processing the return and ordering a new set, I received an email offering to ship me a new set free of charge. Maybe in the future they can specify all options in the first letter. I don't have time to go back and forth and it's much more efficient for the company. Now I've primed 2 of these kits (oh my god!). I swapped all the tips to the side of the chisel before priming as that's what I want. Be careful when you squeeze, the product will flow out. The first time was inside. As you can see, the second time I was outside on a cardboard box. You must shake them thoroughly before each use, otherwise the product will become watery and discolored. So far they've dried well with a damp paper towel, as have all my other chalk and dry erase markers. Don't shake them point-down; they will squirt. Also note that chisel tips are abrasive and will scratch some surfaces; a little use may soften them. I wrote on some smooth plastic containers and they got really scratched. I plan on sanding the containers and painting them with chalkboard paint to see if they scratch. Metal markers do not have a chisel tip. You don't have to refuel them. They look cheap. You also get cute chalkboard stickers. I'm curious to see how they hold up over the years.
