Judging by the product information and the picture, I thought I was buying a genuine spare part. This remote works well and looks the same as the original remote (except for the sticker on the bottom that just says 'Remote Control'), but it's made of less durable plastic. I dropped it from a small height onto a hard basement floor and the tab on the battery cover holding it in place broke off. I used a cover from an old remote control, it's solid but doesn't quite fit.
