I usually wear a tracker with a nice little ankle strap, but when I wear socks I wear it with a toe clip. So I switch back and forth part of the year. It was a bit difficult to get the tracker out of the clip the first few times, but then I got used to it and it became easier. I only used one but after about 3 months the end of the clip came loose. I postponed it because I thought I would have to release another one, that was over a week ago and the end remains.
