My original plastic shower drain has cracked and gotten worse over the years - I avoided stepping on it for fear of losing my leg. Decided to finally look for a replacement and found this handy snap cap which is perfect, strong and easy to install. Make sure you measure and get the correct size for your gutter and that the mesh pattern matches. I had a 4.25 inch Otis plastic drain. I had to widen the 4 holes a bit with a pocket saw but it's not difficult and the metal tabs fit and hold great. The surface is shiny and smooth with no roughness. I'll probably never have to think about it again - just what I love when it's fixed.
