So I like them and they make it easier for me to reach the top but they don't help as much as shown in the pictures to reach the top for one thing you need something to hold on to , pull yourself up and two, they're slippery even with teeth. Still, I would buy them again as my wife now finds it easier to load kayaks onto the jeep thanks to a combination of sliders or bars under the doors. They have a good locking pin and come with new bolts although they do NOT have the same tq head number. I used non-stick coating when installing as these things rust in place quickly. Anything and everything I have to say this is a good upgrade if that's what you need and the beer opener is great.
