There is no remote control in the box and no explanation as to why. That was one of the reasons I bought it. ☹️ Gives a decent amount of light considering it only uses 6 watts of electricity (the same amount was used by a night light bulb). I was hoping to make changes every night, but some of the modes are so wacky that staring at them for too long will likely give you a fit. No relaxing Christmas feeling in most "modes". Love the timer function although as mentioned I'll be damned if I find out what they mean by remote control - 4 drawers and none of them have a remote control. 4 stars is a generous rating for the price.
