Purchased for winter driving. They are thin enough to provide tactile feedback when operating, but thick enough to keep fingers warm. They also keep my mittens warm by scraping the ice and removing my stain. After a winter, the rubber grips have partially lost their black veneer and the gray rubber underneath is visible. As with most gloves, touchscreen capabilities degrade over time. However, this is normal, their main purpose is to keep my hands warm in any case. Great job OR I didn't think I could be talked into spending $40 on gloves. Highly recommended.
