I love Zojirushi products even if they are made in China or Korea. My mother had a bread maker, which she paid dearly for. It still works, but as technology improves I want the latest and greatest. My mother, who no longer cooks, followed the instructions to the last detail and the thing still works well after 17 years. I, on the other hand, love to push the envelope and double a recipe if the manual isn't too clever. The new bread maker Zojirushi Virtuose, made in Korea, did not deliver the expected test result after 4 years. After checking the device in the window, I saw that one of the blades spins freely and does not mix the dough. So I tried making a puck with a plastic strip, failed a few times, bit the bullet and bought a new part. It worked great this morning. And the crispy caramel nut donus is a dream again. I know the engine was overloaded, so the rudder failed. Instead of a burned engine, it is better to buy a new steering wheel. Maybe I should follow the recipe exactly? Then it wouldn't be fun. I read somewhere that you don't need a breadmaker with a powerful blender, food processor, Vitamix, etc. I can't live without it and the paddle is a must.
