I have 2109 RAM 2500, this bed extension comes standard. No additional mounting brackets were needed, the BL was actually installed as it was removed from the shipping carton. I drilled 3 holes on each side on the vertical bed rails as 3 holes were already pre-punched by RAM. Attach the L&R brackets with 3 screws for each post. It was even better than the OEM BE because neither side was undersized. I would recommend this instead of OEM RAM BE. Installation takes about an hour on average. From the tools you only need a 9/64 drill bit and a Phillips screwdriver. Nylon straps fit perfectly on both sides of the tailgate, no modifications needed. The cost was about $125 LESS than the OEM.
