Review on 🧡 Enhanced Craftsmanship: Adjustable Rotated Cross Stitch Stand Lap with Beech Wood Embroidery Hoop Holder by Barbara Simmons

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Best used with frames, not frames.

I should have taken a closer look at the clamp on this stand but I was too excited about the paddle to sit on it and didn't really think it through. It's not a bad product, just not what I was personally looking for in this case. This stand comes unfinished and is light colored wood which I know is easy to stain so it might be worth getting at least a clear coat on it. that helps keep it clean. It's easy to assemble and I appreciate that the wooden handle comes with a plastic handle as it feels much stronger and holds better. As a stand it seems to work well. The clamp is really only for embroidery hoops though, and thinner ones at that - I was hoping to use it with an embroidery hoop, but the dowels in it are too thick to clamp securely. . The bolt used in the clamp is not long enough to match its width and the clamp itself is not large enough to provide a good grip. My frame is too heavy and slides out which is a shame as I was able to get a good angle with this setup as opposed to the floor stands which always seem wobbly and in the way. I tried a standard embroidery hoop in this hoop and it worked great, so it's a good option when working on smaller projects. I'm deducting a star for the untreated wood as it would have been nice if it had been sealed or treated in some way.

Easy to assemble. Works well. I can do my embroidery better now without pricking my finger so much.
