I wanted this to test the PH of my hydroponic water. I have a PH Up & Down kit but it measures PH by color so it's not very accurate. I followed the directions and calibrated, although some of the numbers didn't match those on the powder packs. I really didn't understand their meaning but I did what the instructions said. I add nutrients to my distilled water and sometimes I need to adjust the PH. I did a color test with my other kit and this meter. They were both in sync with each other, which is good. It is easy to use and comes with a small storage case. For the price it's a good tool.
