Manufacturers didn't even strive for comfort. The material used isn't comfortable, the stitching is scratchy and annoying, and the plastic part you run the straps through is too big, causing chafing problems no matter how you wear them. The pictures show that the seams in the seams lying on the skin are raised and uneven in places, causing irritation and chafing. I carried on after the initial discomfort, hoping I could break it somehow. Bad luck. This strap also makes it so that the heart rate monitor rarely works, the cutout is just wrong. It seems to me that they stole the design from a more expensive item, made it from the cheapest materials and didn't care about the function, because by the time bad reviews dominate the review section, they've made their money and moved on to the next. I just don't see anyone really allowing something so uncomfortable to be sold for other reasons. Do yourself a favor and try something different. the same results. Not good. **UPDATE - Added detail, I wore this shaming and the velcro does NOT stay in the water. I almost lost my Fitbit!
