I love the apple season and always come home with apples by the kilo, but immediately regret my choice when I have to wash my hands to bake cakes etc. Sometimes I've been so lazy that I'll just slice them up and throw them in there, which I know is a huge faux pas. I don't know why I avoided Apple's core/cleaner. Probably because I thought they were $50, like in an apple orchard. But I noticed and shot. The thing is a dream! I just made 2 cakes and an apple chip from my apples from the weekend. It has excellent suction power and sticks very well to the countertop. I haven't had any issues with apples falling off or anything. I haven't tried potatoes or pears yet, but I bet the pears shouldn't be overripe. Either way, it's very easy to set up and use. I wish I had gotten it sooner
