Review on DROK Super Small 3W+3W DC 5V Audio Amplifier 🔊 Module Board Dual-Channel PAM8403 Stereo Amplifiers for DIY Portable with Potentiometer by Lisa Adams

I bought six of these DROK PAM8403 amps in a cigar box for guitar amp/speaker projects. In my first application I used a 2000mah USB rechargeable battery to power the amp. In this particular project, the DROK 8403 drives two Gikfun 2 inch full range speakers with an impedance of 8 ohms and 5 watts. Amplifier and speakers go well together. Unfortunately, the choice of 2-inch speakers is limited. I tested two speakers on a PAM8610 10W 12V amp and these speakers could handle the amp almost at full volume but started to clip towards the peak. I set the volume on the input and on the amp cool to get a nice sound. I'm impressed with this little amp. Please note that this amplifier board is very small and if you have large hands and/or poor eyesight this small board may be difficult to solder. Here's an example of how the DROK 8403 amp sounds in an Oliva Nub Cameroon 464T cigar box, which measures just 7" WX 5" TX 4" D. This cigar box amp probably weighs less than a pound. The cigar box amp delivers an incredibly clear and relatively loud sound considering that the amplifier only puts out 3 watts.
