This memory kit needs more love in the reviews. For me, this was the perfect memory choice for the X99 platform. At 2666MHz, you can keep up with 100 BCLK, which makes overclocking your processor a lot easier, and it achieves that speed at just 1.2V. As a bonus, it also has a speed of 2800, which can be selected via XMP in the BIOS. All necessary timings are pre-programmed via XMP profiles for both speeds. I bought two separate kits totaling 64GB (max addressing for a Core i7-5820K) in my MSI X99 Krait. Normally you should get one set for best compatibility but although I mixed the two sets they worked great together. I just populated all 8 slots, went into BIOS and selected XMP Profile #1 for 2666 and it worked on first boot. No voltage, time, or system agent adjustments were required, and all DIMMs passed MemTest with no errors. I need the full 64GB to run multiple virtualizations for software testing, and I haven't regretted the extra storage. Another plus is that they are low-profile DIMMs, which becomes very important when you have large air coolers. These memory cards should fit any CPU cooler on the market. Also, the lack of sharp edges on the heatsinks makes it easier to press down to properly seat and install them. Finally, while very subjective, I really appreciate the understated look of this product and its black aluminum heatsinks without the ridiculous claws/teeth/protrusions. comes out everywhere and scares small children. These modules should match any theme of your computer case. I will not hesitate to buy them again.
