Use Without Injury

Many people who post reviews on this type of peeler complain that they are dangerous and can be dangerous, so I decided to explain how to use them without injury. Peeling citrus with these tools is done with two hands; your strong hand holds the peeler and your weak hand holds the fruit. Just hold the fruit so your holding fingers are out of the way of the tool. You have to put a lot of force on the fruit with the tool, and it usually suddenly breaks through the peel and slides down. Just make sure the fingers of your weak hand are out of the way when this happens. As for this tool, it works well. The blades are nicely sharp and designed to cut deep enough to remove the rind but leave bitter white flesh behind. Lies comfortably in the hand. I love these OXO products. They are very well designed.
