Review on 🎮 SAFFUN Classic N64 Controller - Wired USB PC Gamepad Joystick for Windows PC MAC Linux Raspberry Pi 3 Genesis Higan (Black) by David Olson

Edit: TL;DR: The company sent a new version of the controller, it works fine. No complaints. If the board is marked "AZ-VS0095-A", try replacing it with a newer version ("AZ-VS0096-A"). The joystick has huge dead zones, especially in the lower right position. Even after trying to calibrate it in Windows, moving the joystick way down to the bottom right corner causes Windows to realize it's halfway to the corner, causing your character to move depending on the direction you're going , moving at different speeds. It's better to buy a high-end controller or get a legitimate N64 controller and USB adapter. Edit 1: I replaced the controller with a spare and the new one works better and can be used in game, but the joystick input is still not the same in all directions. It's a little noticeable in game, but it's fine for everyday use. When I get more into n64 emulation I'll probably buy the official controller and adapter. For iNEXT: Just spend the extra 50 cents and put in a better joystick or converter chip or whatever and bump the price up to $12. Edit: After the last edit, I received an email from a company offering a new revision of the controller with an improved joystick and buttons. After receiving it, I tested it with windows calibration tool and the joystick is much better. There are a few minor dead zones and the output isn't technically fully symmetrical, but after in-game testing it seems to be working fine. I disassembled the controller and it seems that the whole new revision board with new button pads and a joystick uses different potentiometers. In the pictures, board number 1 is the first replacement controller I received after returning the original and board number 2 is the new and improved controller that iNNEXT shipped free of charge.
