We needed a couple to rent out a property that an elderly friend was looking to move into. Question. They support her very well and are just enough height to give her a little nudge in the kitchen and closet. IKEA used to make a step stool but hasn't sold it since (or has supply chain issues). They are similar to the IKEA version except for a small plastic ring that fits in the finger holes. For some reason they are not part of the molded plastic but separate. I think they're there to smooth the edges of the holes on your fingers and they may loosen or loosen, but they're not essential to how the step stool works, so I'm not worried about that.
