Has more bugs than Z9S, not a decent upgrade yet

This is a relatively expensive media player for playing online streaming compared to many others. In fact, as received, not only does it lack apps for popular online streaming services, it doesn't even have Google Play or YouTube installed. Depending on your point of view, this can be good or bad. Searching the web I found they have a firmware version from google play or you can just download apps with apk from a USB stick or over LAN. This player is good for playing your local or LAN media files. Video and music players are more integrated and easier to use than Kodi. Accessing the local network via NFS or SMB is much easier than on cheaper players. It also supports DSD music files which few players have. The kit includes a remote control with IR illumination. Although everything is fine, the buttons are too small, especially for those playback control buttons. You have an optional Bluetooth, although the playback controls are still too small, it's better than IR at least. For the price of the player, the bundle should have had a Bluetooth version. I have an earlier model of this Z9S player. While the Z9S is a good player, it has a few bugs that haven't been fixed with all firmware updates. As one of my other brand players broke down, I decided to try this newer model. I was disappointed. The picture or video quality might be a bit better than the Z9S and they seem to have fixed the DSD bugs. Can't play some video files that Z9S and other players can play, and sometimes can't see all files on the NAS drive via SMB. .Another annoying point - the connector markings on the back are gray on a black background and very hard to read! My Z9S was gray on silver. You should change the color of the label from white to black to make it easier to read. All in all, if you are looking for a good player that can play most media file formats of your local files or LAN NAS files with superior video quality than normal boxes and capable of decoding DSD audio files, then this is the one for you You and I would give it four stars. If all you want is streaming apps online, this isn't for you. If like me you already have a Z9S and want to upgrade, it probably isn't worth it.
