My dog is 10+ years old and didn't seem to care for her tv room bed anymore - I'm sure it was old, lumpy, smelly.so I researched and got this one, and although i wasn't impressed at first - it just looked like a basic flat bed I would probably need to replace sooner or later - the dog was impressed, right away. By that I mean after sniffing it suspiciously at first, she tried it out and then zonked out. I mean zonked. We were laughing at how 'out' she was, judging by her pose and snoring. So it's now been many months since I got it, and I'm feeling guilty that i didn't replace her bedroom bed with a second Furhaven foam bed yet. She clearly loves this one, and still gets zonked out whenever she is on it. I vacuum it when i vacuum the floor, it seems to release the pet hair easily. Also, the fabric is holding up perfectly, no rips tears, issues at all. She is old though, I can't say how it would hold up if there was chewing or rough play?One thing I noted is that the bolsters seem to be getting out of shape - meaning the back one is no longer straight, and the sides are rounding out a bit - but actually as I type this I think that's probably a good thing for her comfort - even though visually it is starting to look a little 'loved', I have to remind myself it's about the dog. So as long as she deems it zonk worthy, I won't let the shape changes bother me. I'm going to have to buy that second one now, I can see.
