I did not have high hopes for this stuff, but man was I wrong! I have fairly curly, naturally chestnut brown hair that has never been dyed, and I wanted to add a natural red tint to it. I have previously tried another red/copper color-depositing conditioner that worked well but was so messy! This stuff, though, can be applied without gloves and doesn’t stain your hands or shower curtain. It deposits a copper/auburn tone in my hair and is buildable - more applications=stronger color. It also makes my hair feel super thick and healthy. I apply it to dry hair and let it sit for 30-60 minutes. I’ve tried applying to wet hair, but the result isn’t nearly as vibrant. Overall, my hair takes it up pretty evenly, although the front sections, which tend to be more "thirsty,” do tend to absorb a little more color, so that is something to keep in mind.
