I did a lot of research to look for 20 ounce insulated hot coffee straws. Mugs (Yeti, Ozark, Epic Tumbler, etc.). The concern that made me switch from stainless steel straws to glass was the metal's high heat transfer to the mouth/lips/tongue. The same day they arrived, the press release "Starbucks is recalling 2.5 million metal straws following reports of broken mouths" made me very happy to have chosen glass. What gets them 5 stars is the quality of workmanship - they are quite durable. and there's a very smooth (almost rounded) feel where the straw meets your lips; tactile sensations just right.
