Review on Messermeister 3-Inch Sheep's Foot Parer with Complementary Sheath by Samantha Cortez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great little paring knife

The price is right. There are smarter knives out there, but not without financial hassles. This one strikes a good balance. It does its job well - sharp and feels good in the hand. The plastic doesn't look cheap. The shape of the "sheep's foot" distinguishes it from the classic Parerre. I was made aware of this form by a knowledgeable food blogger and am a convert. This gives much more knife edge for peeling or coring, which keeps hands from curling up badly. Finally, I would like to describe the included "sheath" as they were one of the reasons I chose this knife. It's plastic, a little flimsy and barely stays on the knife. It's definitely not a sheath, more of a stripped down display bezel that most people would probably throw away if they bought one from a store.
