First of all I still like it, I managed to get about 130 proofs from my first batch and the double distillation gave me about 170 proofs. A few things they could improve on is moving the thermometer up so it's not directly in the cauldron. It would help get a more accurate temperature reading if it was in the pipe. Another thing is that due to the skewer box/gin basket, it needs a little higher temperature to drip. My final complaint is that I wish it would break up into smaller pieces. The lid, evaporator chamber, saliva chamber and condenser chamber are removed in one piece and are difficult to clean. I love that you can use it with conductive plates, it makes it easy to control the temperature. It's very easy to use even for a beginner and I recommend it to anyone starting out with distilling!
