I either got a used machine or (which I'm more inclined to believe) it's cheap junk with terrible production and quality control. The length of the rod is practically not adjustable for this purpose. An optional additional rod section is MUCH longer allowing you to either over or under rod length. Mark. Installation wasn't smooth - you have to put cheap plastic brackets on top of the rack (none of mine fit 100%) and then slide the shelves onto them. Nothing but a snug fit designed to be held in place by simple tension on the stem, not structural tension. But worst. My god, the shelves aren't even flat. All three of mine were crooked out of the box. Attached pics - look at the rear mount in the pics, they are all askew/crooked. FYI these are two different shelves and both are so bad.
