After bad experience with a cheaper product that supposedly did the same thing, it worked the first time. I used it to connect a second monitor (1920x1080) to my laptop via the Thunderbolt/USB port. The first time, the computer didn't even recognize that a second monitor was connected. If you have the same problem as me, try this product.
