I specifically ordered this product to switch between my PC and my work computer. I ordered new Displayport cables and new USB cables to connect the device. The switch works, but when I switch, I get a Windows disconnect/connect notification. The one you hear when you connect an external device. I don't know how to fix it. All cables are new. The Displayport cables are retention cables. Monitors are equivalent to Dell monitors. It's a minor annoyance, but for $200 I don't think I can keep it. 2 updates; There were a few issues using the switch. After switching, my mouse doesn't want to work with any active processes. It's very weird, I can click on the desktop and launch apps, but when the app is running I can't interact with it. about what i do. I use decent cables with a good set of Bose speakers. The problem does not occur if the switch is not used. I voted up because customer support contacted me and said there was a compatibility issue. They offered a discount on future products as well as a gift. The discount is great but I declined the gift (didn't need it). So they were helpful and tried to fix the problem. But in the end I sent the device back.
