I'd give more than 3.5 but I've rounded up. If you are NOT planning on putting fragile items here and are NOT looking for any durable items, then this is perfect. It was cheaper than the one I was planning to buy from Ikea so I went with this one. This is a really nice shelf, but assembling it is not an easy task. Individual parts are not marked, but are easy to understand. Love it, it helps keep things organized but like I said if you're looking for something heavy that doesn't move I wouldn't recommend this one. I have a 5 gallon tank and a printer. My only concern is if there is an earthquake (I live in California) this is not the best level to prevent shaking. If you do not have any claim to quality and you want the work to be done perfectly.
