Worthy of it's mid-range pricing. Hits my four main points for purchasing: descent quality, convenience of access, space saving footprint, and importantly safety. The acrylic shield was at first a bonus consideration, now, after having it, I don't think I'd like being without one. The shield is easily removable; however, the added safety is a necessary plus if there is potential for children -and adults- to fuss about and grab things in proximity of the knife holder, magnets alone don't protect against mishaps. This knife holder is also aesthetically pleasing and fits in nicely with a minimalistic counter top theme. The added feature of a cutting board stand in the rear is a very welcomed and convenient addition. No complaints so far. Better in functionality and appearance than expected for this price.
