2nd attempt to buy egg rings. The first was stainless steel and very strong, but the egg got stuck. They're not really non-stick, and I grease the rings thoroughly first and pour a small puddle of oil into the tool while it's in the hot pan. I even smack butter in the egg before pouring it over the ring because I know it will melt and hopefully help release. I've found that I have to keep an eye on the egg ring and loosen the sides as the egg cooks and hardens by running a small spatula down the inside of the ring. You just have to put up with it and not with the end of the world.
