I think for myself at least, wanting to protect my investment as much as possible which is what made me purchase this. Can be little difficult to apply if you arent perfect at lining things up. BUT once its on, its protecting the surface. I wear bracelets a lot and i notice that they end up touching this area of the computer a lot, and without these protectors im sure it would have already scratched the macbook if these were not applied.
