I recently had new floors put into my kitchen and wanted to protect them as well as providing a soft and comfortable workspace area around the sink. This rug came folded. With the folds it didn’t have one and that refused to lay flat like some of the rolled rugs do. However some of the creases needed some time to Flatten themselves out. I find the best way to do this is to set it out in the sun and very quickly the creases are illuminated.There is no need to purchase an additional rug gripper for this rug. I have other rugs without the nonslip backing that require a separate rug gripper material. With the non-slip backing of this rug, I’m angle to easily pick it up and maneuver for cleaning the file underneath. The underside of the rug has survived lots of friction under my feet as well as being tossed around when I mopped the floors. It has not flaked or crumbled.The top side of the rug is soft and offers me comfort even when I’m barefoot. The pile is low and I can run over this even with my vacuum on a daily basis to clean up any messes. In addition to the vacuum this does handle being hand washed. The way that I hand wash this is that I simply spray this down with the handheld sprayer in my shower and hanging out to dry.
