Well it was a great success. My 3 year old grandson got a lot of toys for Christmas but kept coming back to these magnetic blocks to build different characters. He called them rainbow shapes. The fact that light passes through them makes them prettier and easier to build as you can fully see the 3D shape. I've bought three different sets of magnetic shapes and this purchase was by far the hardest. I like this because it means the magnets are bigger and heavier. The magnets are strong and the shapes go well together. I will say that the box is tightly packed. Get a sturdy clear container to keep them in, as a child won't be able to pack them back neatly. I'm considering getting a second set so my grandson can build bigger figures.
