Received today. I have to say I'm VERY impressed. Yes, they are plastic. Yes, they are lightweight and cost just under $8. But here's the thing. I've read many other reviews from people who have bought them before and were unhappy with the flashing red LED. The company seems to read reviews. They have LEDs that dim at night. I have no idea if the batteries will last 9 months, but where I live (4200 feet in the Smoky Mountains) I think I'll have a winter pair and a summer pair for each camera. I ordered 4 pieces and need 5 pieces total, so I will probably order 6 pieces soon. 1 for now and 5 for backup. The sliding cover looks like it protects the battery compartment from water ingress and the fit and finish looks great. The way these things look and feel, they seem real from two feet away. Since they mount 12-15 feet off the ground I have no problem. If they fall apart after 2 months I will repeat this review. I'm very happy at the moment.
