Great so far! in Portable Vacuum Cleaners

I bought this vacuum cleaner to replace our old Shark cordless handheld vacuum that my family hated. It was bigger, louder, much heavier, suction power was about the same (good), but the Shark used horrible old nickel-cadmium battery technology that I thought was dead when I bought it. Pooh. He recently died completely so I was happy to order a replacement. I chose this model because of its low cost and overall really better reviews than some pricier B&D models. For this purchase I didn't want to try any of the many Chinese mystery brands available here at Revain. I also studied other brands and models from other sources. I didn't need anything too powerful or fancy with a good Dyson upright vacuum and two sizes of shop vacuums I already had on hand. Let's get to this model. After reading the reviews, it turned out that the probability of battery life problems is about 20%, and the battery life is 2 minutes. So I figured I should test this unit out asap if I can return it through Revain's amazing customer service rather than Black & Decker which seems almost universally unpopular in the reviews here. Fortunately, the early signs are that we've avoided the battery life issue. After charging a new device for 24 hours (recommended at least 16 hours), I would let the device run around my house, garage, and inside my car until the battery died and the device turned off. I started my iPhone's timer and it lasted about 13 minutes before it sounded like it was slowing down and exactly 14 minutes later it shut off. I'm happy with the 13 minute run time on a single charge as we mostly use it for spot cleaning for short periods. My old shark ever could! The power is just enough for a light cleaning and has done a great job on things like the dusty fabric surface of my TV soundbar, window vents, a workbench in the garage, car seats, and the tight space where my car's dashboard meets the windshield. etc. So. I'm almost completely satisfied with this vacuum cleaner, especially for the $32 price I paid. I'm deducting a star for two charging-related designs. First, there is no charging LED, which I find ridiculous. You have no idea if this thing actually loads or not. I can only hope that after the first full discharge it actually charges properly! Second, the power supply uses a weird plastic tip that I've never seen before, which poses a problem if it ever breaks. Finally, this thing seems to take forever to charge. Basically it will not be a problem here, but it is a clear minus. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
