Bought for my husband as he works on a construction site and often listens to podcasts. He says they offer good hearing protection (compared to other Bluetooth headsets). He says they tend to muffle the sound a bit, although he can boost it a bit with his device. If you're doing something REALLY loud (e.g. table saw, chainsaw) it says you're a little hard to hear. A NOTICE. This headset will NOT receive calls or allow you to make calls. We've found that a phone call disables this headset and everything it hears. For us I just wanted something that would let him know to call me back so he could miss the call. Not sure if text mute works or not. The only recommendation would be that phone calls can go to the headset and/or make calls through it.
