I bought this because I wanted to be able to record overhead when I lift my glider and take a video with my phone. As you can see from the photo, some adjustments are needed. Using it as is I can't fit my entire open plan (notebook size) in the frame because the phone doesn't sit high enough. To solve this problem, I propped it up with a laminating box, which raised it an additional 4 inches. At this point my planner was in the frame but the legs of the stand were hanging off the laminating box making it unstable. The weight of the phone made it fall over, so I took two ankle weights and secured it. Everything is in frame now, but it was a bit of a struggle to get it to the point where it would work for me. The point of my purchase was that I didn't have to constantly set up my phone, but as you can see I set it up anyway. I like the stand, but a longer neck would have earned 5 stars. In 2020 everyone is filming with their phones so it seems to me that they should have tested their product better.
