Buttons are well attached. I intentionally bought this a little bigger at the time so baby girl would be able to wear it longer, and that's worked out well. Super cute, and paired with pants and a coat makes a warm lovely fall or late winter outfit ( maybe middle of winter too, if your baby runs warmer!).
